What size can I order my artwork?
The finished size of each photograph is dependent on the final size you have selected along with the addition of any frame and liner combinations you have chosen. To assist you in selecting the perfect size, we have created an Edition Sizing Reference Guide to provide exact dimension for the various combinations available.
Can I order custom-sized Limited-Edition prints?
Custom sizes are available for most of our print editions. Please contact us directly to order a custom size. Please have the finished dimensions you desire ready when you call.
Do you sell unframed artwork?
Yes, we do. You can order “print only” or “canvas only” images which will be shipped to you carefully wrapped and rolled in a shipping tube. Many international orders are shipped this way, in order to save on the costs of international shipping.
We recommend that all images be mounted by an experienced framing professional. Always handle your photograph with the white cotton gloves that are provided. Ensure that your photograph is cold mounted only. We recommend mounting on a completely smooth, high-quality, dimensionally stable substrate. For best results, use a solvent acrylic adhesive with built-in UV inhibitors. Please be aware that mounting your photograph on a softer surface like foam core will increase the likelihood of the photograph developing orange peel, or subtle dimpling, on the surface.
Due to the potential for damage by third-party framers, “print only” or “canvas only” images are not eligible for the lifetime guarantee and Walsh is not liable for damage or replacement costs. Be sure to use a reputable and insured frame shop to mount or frame your photograph.
Is the art signed?
Yes. Each Limited-Edition piece features a signature and edition number on the face of the artwork and a signed certificate of authenticity attached to the back.
A serialized and numbered hologram can be found on the front of your Certificate of Authenticity.
Care and Handling
How do I hang my artwork?
Your Walsh product has been shipped with appropriate hangers attached to the back of the frame. Picture hangers and/or wall anchors are recommended but are not included with your purchase as we are not aware of how and where you wish to mount your photograph.
How do I clean my artwork?
Photographic Prints – all photographic prints should be mounted behind glass or acrylic glazing. You should never touch or clean the actual photographic surface. Dust the picture glazing with a soft, damp cloth or chamois. Apply only light pressure, rinse with clean water, and dry by blotting the cloth. Dry or gritty cloths may cause surface scratches and create a static electric charge on the surface.
Canvas – Many canvas prints are mounted without glazing. Therefore, use caution when dusting the picture surface. Dust the canvas surface with a soft dry cloth. Apply only light pressure.
Never use window cleaning sprays, kitchen scouring compounds, or solvents such as acetone, gasoline, or lacquer thinner to clean your image, as this may cause permanent damage to your image. Damage resulting from cleaning is not covered by our guarantee.
Frames – Our wood frames have a protective wax finish that, when handled properly, should not require care other than periodic dusting. A soft, dry cloth may be used to remove spots or debris. Avoid the use of liquid and chemical cleaning products, as these will cause the protective finish to deteriorate over time.
How do I light my artwork?
Lighting your image properly can make a huge difference in how it looks in your space. In our gallery, we light using a mixture of spotlights and floodlights. The proper degree of spread will depend on the distance of the light fixture from the photograph. While many varieties of lights can sufficiently light your image, we have found that the very best color rendering is achieved by using Solux MR16 halogen bulbs. These premium bulbs can be ordered in specific spreads and color balances. Solux bulbs can be purchased at this site.
Shipping and Delivery
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we do! In order to provide the most accurate international shipping costs, please contact us directly so that we can prepare an accurate international shipping rate.
Due to Russian customs regulations, we are unable to ship to residential addresses within Russia. Shipments must be sent to a business address and imported through a business only.
Note: we may decline to ship to certain destinations, such as countries subject to embargoes, sanctions, war, disturbances, local regulations, or other restrictions.
Can I ship to multiple addresses?
At this time, we only ship to one address per order. To send to separate address, you must place separate orders.
What about international duties and taxes?
We use DHL or UPS for all international orders. International buyers are responsible for all international fees, duties, customs, taxes and charges imposed following the purchase of the artwork. These fees will be charged after the appropriate shipping costs are computed by our staff.
If the total amount of the shipment is less than $5,000 you may use DHL as your customs broker. DHL will contact you to complete a Power of Attorney form to use them as your broker. Once cleared, DHL will have your shipment released and delivered to the destination address.
If shipment exceeds $5,000 you will need to hire a customs broker. Your local broker will provide information and requirements list to clear the shipment and complete delivery.
How can I track my order?
We will forward your tracking information to you via email once your order is shipped. From that point, it is best to use the shipper website for the most accurate shipping updates.
Is my artwork insured during transit?
We insure full coverage for all shipments. We will replace or repair any damages that occur during transit from our production facility to the destination address listed on your order. We cannot insure shipments once they have been transported from the original delivery destination.
Can you ship to a PO box?
No.
